I was there in and out in 2 minutes. The rate was good (as good or better than what I got when I entered the amount in google) and there was no commission.
You may or may not get better rates elsewhere, but why bother? For the small amounts that tourists change I think this place is a very good option.

I checked the "fair change" exchange points and they offered 90€ (next to the trevi fountain) and 92€ (close to here) for 100$. Here they offered 93€ and it was very fast. Google rate was 100€.
After reading the reviews, I compared this currency exchange to 4 others in Rome on 2 separate days and this place had the best rates (prices and no commission) both days (I exchanged USD). Friendly service as well.

Overrated reviews.
First of all, we came at 9.05 in the morning and it was still closed, so it didn't open at 9 am as advertised. Secondly, we came back in the evening and exchanged USD to EUR at a price of €90 per $100, which was the rate in other places around Roma Termini (train station).
So, yes, we exchanged some dollars without issues (presenting our passports), but it wasn't worth the wait until they opened the shop. Many other places we passed by from Roma Termini to this place were offering the same exchange rate without commission, nothing special here.
This guy is literally offering the best rate in Rome! After checking around more than 20 exchange shops.
